Hello! Received a nice donation from a fellow high school track man yesterday and another from a Holyoke Catholic trackman, Owen, who went to school with my kids. Thanks so much for the support of the effort and Lorraine's. This was a tough run just over 5 miles. Mid afternoon and hot, made for a tired harrier.
A major hail and wind and rain storm hit this evening in the areas I have just finished running in the past week. I feel I am getting to know the city and the neighborhoods much better. Storms and shared neighborhood situations get everyone out of their houses and talking. It is a great side benefit to a lot of storm damage. I guess my point is we all get reminded every now and then that we have many things in common. It is very similar to raising money for the Soup Kitchen. Once people are aware of the need, they help. Each to their own ability. But it is all about getting the word out. Thanks to all of you helping to do that.
Also, I am working on getting the blog to load faster. Being a rookie blogger, I have been clumsy about my formatting. I should have it fixed by Thursday!
Paul Duval "The Running Realtor" raising money for Lorraine's Soup Kitchen and Pantry
1200 Streets...280 Miles... Every Street in Chicopee!
Lorraine's Soup Kitchen and Pantry helps people every day! The Kitchen serves 100 meals each day to our neighbors who could otherwise go hungry. Monthly, over 500 families benefit from the groceries available in the Pantry. We can help!
